JOAQUÍN JÁCOME BARSALLO

Joaquín Jácome Barsallo joined the firm in 2018 (currently on leave). Since then, Joaquín has participated in various corporate and commercial matters, such as the formation of corporations and private interest foundations, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate transactions.

Additionally, Joaquín is an Authorized Public Translator by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Panama and is licensed to translate and interpret from English to Spanish and vice versa.

Joaquín earned his bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science from the Universidad Catolica Santa María la Antigua (Magna Cum Laude) (2023). During his studies, he was selected for the Summer Honors Program by the American Enterprise Institute and represented his university as a Presidential Fellow at the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress, both in Washington, D.C.

After receiving his license to practice law in the Republic of Panama, Joaquín obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from New York University School of Law and an Advanced Certificate in Law and Business from New York University Stern School of Business (2024).

Joaquín currently works as a Research Scholar at the New York University School of Law, where he researches private credit and financial regulation under the supervision of Professor Michael Ohlrogge.
